Preparation for Evaluation Day:

Evaluation Day is just that, it's a day for evaluation. To help keep teams in balance, all players are evaluated by local high school baseball players. Players are given the opportunity to hit, throw, catch, and in Minor/Majors, pitch. Scores are calculated and added together for use in the draft. If a player does not show up for evaluation day, they will receive the maximum amount of points that can be calculated.

If your player is not used to a pitching machine, please help prepare them for this step in baseball by taking them regularly to a batting cage. 

Have your player bring their own bat and glove.

Equipment :

During the season, each coach will have batting helmets and catching equipment. 
Players will need to have their own glove and bat.
Advice from a coach:    While eye/face protection is a good idea, this is left up to the parent. 
Each player should also have all of their own equipment; glove, bat, helmet, cleats, bat bag, batting gloves and a baseball cap. Yep, I said a baseball cap, To me a cap is just as important as a glove. I helps the player to see when the sun is out, keeps the rain out of the eyes, AND, it's part of the uniform that must be worn or you can't play. I have given my hat to many youngsters just so they could play. Last on the list is the cup. Parents, please have your baseball player get used to this essential piece of protective equipment.
